Since our place is kinda uphill, it was quite a new terrain of running as compared back home. There are steps, uneven cement, slopes, etc. It was quite a difference running. In fact at one point I had to stop and climb cos the degree uphill was pretty much like 50 degree, that I was bent at the tummy to climb upwards.
That run/climb took about 30 mins before i came back - and the boys just woke up and were prepping to go see if the sports area nearby had soccer people playing.
While they went off, I CLEANED MY ROOM - swept and mop! before I bathed. We also were intending to go to the laundry (which apparently what everyone does here) to send some stuff for washing.
GOODNESS. The boys' stuff came up to 7-8 pounds EACH. They charge HK$4 per pound. And I had only 3 pounds - since I only sent working shirts and weekend wear to them. Seriously, SO MUCH?!
Lunch was after at this small narrow foodplace along the road for reasonable fried rice, and we bought an ironing board! Haha
Peter and his retro surf board
Leaving the ironing board at the hostel, we walked over to Sheung Wan/Central area again, since they havent been there.
Retro side graphics, huh. The first building we saw when we entered Hollywood St through some alley.
Bus stops along the road, which actually seen all over HK, but didn't notice it clearly until here.
We ventured a lot more time at Antique St area cos Ruiming was trying to write an assignment there. Quite an eyeopener.
They sold a hellava things - things I've seen in my own home previously - old film cameras, briefcases, bags, magazines, photographs. But they sold things like old TVs, stamps, vintage things among made-in-china trinkets.
Oh oh oh and I saw my first street protest! Though we were far behind, it was rather hard to see, and while I was asking some passerby if they knew what's up, those I asked didnt seem to know. The boys weren't all interested but I was!
Peter got shoved a political party paper and apparently, the party protesting was Falun Gong. And well, it was known that every weekend there would always be some protest - parties, taxis, farmers, etc.
How interesting is that! :)
After that Peter got tired (and went back to the hostel) while Ruiming and I went wandering around Central before we made a last stop at H&M since he wanted to buy stuff. He actually bought more things than me: belt, slippers, boxers i think. While I just bought two basics: a fuchsia tank and a black tee (damn comfy cos of the 100% cotton!) for the weekends.
Oh and because he just refuses to wash his own underwear (tell me, what is wrong with that?!) he bought 2-weeks worth of disposable (paper thin, showercap sort) underwear haha funny :)
Saturday came by fast and ended fast, it was hard to imagine the next day was already our last day of the weekend. BAH :/
