2nd Saturday (27 Sept)

I am back from my usual (ok, hopefully) Sat morning run. The route I run is actually along the mainroad before running (climbling, rather) up this pathway that leads down to our hostel again. But today was a little hard, since the sun's was pretty scorching today but wind was strong.

Instead of going back, I went down to meet the boys at a nearby sports arena, which actually is 5-6 courts - basketball or soccer or hockey - to play street soccer. They met a bunch of people last week and they've been doing it since. They were tiring out much faster cos of the noon sun coming up and drenching like dogs. And you can imagine how gross some guys are when they are dripping like that.

Anyhow, I went back to the hostel before they did to CLEAN MY ROOM. See, I'm doing my own housecleaning - swept and mop my floor, cleared out the (two weeks') trash from a huge plastic bag I use.

Oh yes, someone please tell deni: I miss your ironing! Wouldn't you be proud that I've ironed (to what looks reasonable) my own shirts last night! :)

Ok I'm off to bathe before I meet Aunty Lay Hwa again later in the afternoon to shop at Mong Kok! :) Bye!

Update: Boys couldnt make it cos probably was dehydrated under the noon sun earlier - so had headaches and didnt come along.

*i didnt manage to get more photos out of Garden St - give it to allll the distracting goods to look at :) will post more - since i am sure i'll go back there again anyway :)

Dinner was at an impromptu small eatery where we ate a small plate of roasted goose and a very HK dish: steamed pork with salted egg (which I forgot to take picture of!)

I think this is more like duck soup - basically, all the bones of the poultry they sell and dump it in a pot. Tastes pretty nice too, together with cabbage bits that have turned soft.

This is roast goose, a common thing to see and order in HK. Skin's really nice and crispy, though of cos there's still a layer of fat (almost any store). Though I still need some time to train my tastebuds on what is the difference between a duck and a goose (meatwise, bird, etc.).

See how'd you tell the difference!

Bet you can't really tell, unless you googled them on Images! :)

Well, walking at Garden Street, Aunty Lay Hwa is a chronic shoppaholic compared to me! I couldnt keep up with her many purchases!

Garden Street is a short walk from Prince Edward station and the place is all packed with small shophouses sort and just walking that packed road already took up our whole time: 4pm to 10pm (including dinner). With enough patience and endurance, plus a keen eye, you can actually pick out some prominent brands like Paul Smith, Roxy, G-Star, Ralph Lauren, Abercombie, American Eagle, Levi's, Max & Co, etc.
Lucas! Your reminder of yourself came by to HK! :) Want it? Haha

In the end, I managed to resist and buy only: a spag camisole (HK$28), Roxy faded shorts (HK$79) and a tartan wolly button-shirt (HK$59) - all for about S$30 :)

Peter responded: "Hey I might wanna get something like that. Is the shirt for guys?" and they think the shorts are a little too short.

Camisole is a little too not-so-appropriate to be put up here so, well, nevermind. It's pretty though - beige with lace and small golden dots :)

Ok there's church tmr, I need to sleep and wake them up later too, goodnight! :)

P.S. and dad, I've used the last min purple hand towel you passed me as a back up towel while I sent the other for washing okkkkkkk. Thanks :)
