She's still seemingly nice, but it really is hard to put a guard down. :/
Today HK has its 08-09 Policy Address at 11am and it already had some commotion: a well-known protester, nicknamed Long Hair has already screaming pro-democracy protests before the Chief Executive could start. He was politely taken away by security as the Legislative Council and Ex Co people just waited for him to be done. Chinese people giving another 'face' haha.
I've also taken the chance (two days' worth) to wear my soon-to-retire favourite, and unable to find a replacement, golden sandals to work - due to the silly (maybe also fortunate) blisters.
I did realise that now I have this intensed inclination to observe what shoes people wear. Maybe cos I'm still looking around for what to get while I'm in HK too, but it's like window shopping haha. I used to do it in SGP too but it seems more to look at now! Haha you know, boots (high, low, heeled, flat, brown, white, black, camel), pumps (too many varieties), high heels (also too many).
Some are nice, others are hedious. Some even make me cringe to imagining how horrid I would look with something that disastrous. There are some that have already made a mental note in the head so that I'd look out for those in awhile ;)
Both boys are back at work and Ruiming reports to me that he's bored. Now, that is starting to get very frequent I see :)
Ok gotta run! The department is in to be the first few to put up articles on the Policy Address, haha trying to beat the wire agencies to it.
Update at 11.30am: Haha two protesters have done their timely outbursts and even threw a banana each at the Chief Executive before they were ushered out. How exciting! Imagine if Singapore had such colour during the National Day speech or something. Headlines!
